Hartford Hospital

Hartford Hospital has been providing state of the art care for injured patients and their families as a verified Level 1 adult trauma center through the American College of Surgeons since 1990.

The Trauma Surgery department is a multidisciplinary team consisting of traumatologists, advanced practice providers, critical care nurses, and other highly skilled professions to achieve the highest medical care available while providing an integrative approach to healing.

 

To achieve this mission, Hartford Hospital consists of extensive resources including statewide pre-hospital care system providing air and ground advanced life support services, emergency department resuscitation, specialized imaging and interventional radiology, dedicated operating room, surgical and neurosurgical critical care areas, a committed trauma unit, and a rehabilitation program.

 

The Injury Prevention Center has also been functioning for over 30 years to serve as a community resource relating to injury prevention and care; to provide education to professionals and the public; and to conduct research.
