Community Service Boards (CSBs)

Community Service Boards are committed to improving the quality of life for people with or at risk of developing mental disabilities and substance abuse problems and to preventing the occurrences of these conditions. The Board does this through a system of caring that respects and promotes the dignity, rights and full participation of individuals and their families. To the maximum extent possible, these services are provided within the community.

The core mental health and substance abuse services provided by CSBs include emergency, local inpatient, outpatient, case management, day support, residential, and prevention and early intervention. They provide access to services through screening, service management, and discharge planning.
