The Queen's Medical Center

The Queen’s Medical Center seeks to fulfill the mission of our founders Queen Emma Kaleleonālani and King Kamehameha IV—to provide in perpetuity quality health care services to improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all of the people of Hawai’i.
The Queen’s Medical Center is based in the heart of Honolulu, and is the first and only Level 1 trauma center verified by the American College of Surgeons in the Pacific Basin. It serves as the only Level 1 regional trauma center for all of the Hawaiian Islands and islands in the Pacific, caring for an average of 2,800 patients annually.
The trauma team at The Queen’s Medical Center includes many specialty surgical areas—including trauma surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic spine and hand surgery—along with advanced trauma-trained nursing staff, certified in the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) specialty course.
At Queen’s we are dedicated to treating trauma patients around the clock—365 days a year; providing a vital service to our community.
