Leading the Hudson Valley Regional Trauma System, Westchester Medical Center provides complete care for every phase of injury, from prevention to treatment to rehabilitation. Our trauma center offers state-of-the art resources in advanced diagnostics, interventional treatment, intensive care, step-down care, rehabilitation, outpatient care, as well as interdisciplinary support services. Stabilizing those who are critically ill or injured, providing them with the required medical care, and promoting a healing environment, help each patient return to the community following a traumatic injury. Our trauma center leads the region in trauma research and education by presenting at national symposia and conferences, publishing research in peer-reviewed journals training the region's EMS community, firefighters, police officers, and emergency staff from community hospitals. These efforts are highlighted by an annual trauma symposium, dissemination of research and education through a variety of media, and consistently high performance by national benchmarking and accrediting agencies.
