Active-AssistiveRange of Motion

Active-assistive range of motion exercises are used when a person needs assistance to move a joint through its full range. Assistance is provided by a therapist or a machine. Assistance is given only as needed for smooth and controlled movement and may only be required during the beginning or end of the available range.
