I was in a head on collision on November 9, 2008; 2 days after I got my license. I was driving home from visiting the accident site of a close friend that passed away when he rolled his truck in October. I was hit by a man having a seizure, he had crossed into my lane and then into my shoulder before crossing back into my lane and hitting me head on. My bestfriend was in the truck with me and thankfully only had a broken pinky finger. I however was entrapped with a broken left femur, left foot, a compound fracture of my right tibia, and my right fibula was broken in three places. I had to have a rod inserted into my left femur and right tib. I was flown to shock trauma where I spent a week before going to the step down unit for a few days, then I was transfered to Kernan rehab hospital for two weeks. I then went back home and was able to return to school in January to finish my first semester on my junior year of high school. I was finally able to get rid of my wheel chair by february and stop using my walker and cane by June
