Stop the Bleed

The only thing more tragic than a death from severe bleeding, is a death that could have been prevented. Bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death after injury. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, so it is vital that bystanders know how to intervene. UK Healthcare is part of a nationwide campaign called Stop the Bleed, which provides bystanders with the simple steps they can take in an emergency situation to stop life-threatening bleeding. The training is free to all individuals and organizations. Our trauma team members can come onsite to your organization or we can host a training at the hospital.
