Penn State Hershey Medical Center is Central Pennsylvania’s only Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Regional Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and Tertiary Care Provider. Through our core values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence, the Trauma Team is committed to providing compassionate, expert level care for every injured person across the lifespan.
The adult trauma program has been accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation since 1993. We are fully equipped to resuscitate and stabilize severely injured adults with all types of injuries, ranging from minor sprains to life-threatening, critical multi-system injuries in the shortest time possible. We are committed to providing the highest level of trauma care to all adults who find themselves in need of expert trauma specialists, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our trauma program has been aligned with the Trauma Survivors Network (TSN) since 2024. This is a partnership with the American Trauma Society (ATS) to help survivors and their families rebuild their lives after experiencing a traumatic injury. We offer connections that support recovery in the healing process.
