Oncologist (Cancer)
An oncologist specializes in oncology, a medical subspecialty dealing with the study and treatment of cancer. There are three main types of oncologists, characterized by type of treatment: Surgical, Medical, and Radiation. Surgical oncologists specialize in tumor removal, medical oncologists handle medication and chemotherapy, and radiation oncologists specialize in the treatment of cancer with radiation.
